The Sanjay Dutt biopic “Sanju” written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vinod Chopra is all set to hit the theaters on 29 June 2018.  Sanju is one of the most talked about films ever since it was announced. The story of the film revolves around the controversial life of Sanjay Dutt from drugs to women, friends, parents and much more.   The film is expected to have the biggest premier ever in Bollywood. The movie promises to unveil many little known aspects of Dutt’s life to the audiences. Sunju has already impressed the audiences with its intriguing teasers and poster released from time to time.  Besides Ranbir Kapoor the film includes Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna and Anushka Sharma.

Annihilation

Annihilation is an intelligent science fiction film by writer director Alex Garland loosely based on Jeff Vander Meer’s best-selling novel.  Lena (Natalie Portman) the protagonist is a cellular biology professor who joins an expedition of a team of five into an area of Florida Swampland hit by a meteor. This area after being hit by a meteor is surrounded by a strange shimmer obscuring all contact with the outside world.  Lena’s husband Kane (Oscar Isaac) a soldier had earlier disappeared but on his return a year later he has no memory with deteriorated health eventually going into a coma. Lena later discovers that Kane had been a part of the team sent to investigate area X an expanding region of Swampland enclosed by a visible shimmer.  Multiple squads had been sent but Kane is the only person to ever return so Lena in order to know what exactly happened to Kane voluntary joins the next mission.

  Einstein’s Travel Diaries: Ridicule or Racism?

Travel diaries of Albert Einstein have now been published in English for the first time by Princeton University Press. Previously only German speakers had access to these diaries as a part of the larger collection of Einstein’s personal writings. Einstein besides his enormous contributions in the field of Physics had been popular on account of lambasting American racist ideologies. Einstein’s views expressed in his travel diaries regarding the people of Japan, China, Sri Lanka and India are now seen as racist ideas.  However some people suggest that his ridiculous comments on people from different Asian nations should not be seen as racist remarks.  Einstein had put his views on paper while visiting Asia from October 1922 to March 1923.

Snub nosed Monkey nicknamed “Snubby”   (courtesy Live Science)

The snub nosed monkey Rhinopithecus a rare species of monkeys is found in northern Myanmar.  This snub nosed monkey has been nicknamed Snubby for its up turned nose that collects rainwater during rains.  Snubby the monkey can be heard sneezing off the rain water collected in his nose on wet days. This monkey was discovered in 2010 and is one of the 211 new species discovered in the eastern Himalayas during 2009 to 2014.

 The Mysteries of Antarctica

According to Australian scientists Mount Erebus an active volcano on Antarctica’s Ross Island is enclosed by caves hollowed out in the ice by steam. A study suggests the probability of animals and plants living in warm caves under Antarctica’s ice. Dr Ceridwen Fraser from the Australian National University in Canberra said that some caves are really warm up to 25 C and one can wear a T shirt in “there and be pretty comfortable.”
